The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me, but only bad?”

(17) But evil.--So Kings. Heb., here as margin. (Comp. 2Chronicles 18:7.)

Verse 17. - Ahab's language in this verso shows that, though he had adjured Micaiah, he did not wish to seem to believe that he could speak anything but his own temper.
