The fillets and hooks upholding the linen hangings are of silver See Scofield Note: "Ex 38:27" for it is in virtue of His redemptive work that Christ is our way of access, and not by virtue of His righteous life (symbolized by the fine linen); but the pillars of the court rest upon brass sockets, not silver as in the case of the boards See Scofield Note: "Ex 26:19" and brass symbolizes divine righteousness in judgment See Scofield Note: "Num 21:9". Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

27:9-19 The tabernacle was enclosed in a court, about sixty yards long and thirty broad, formed by curtains hung upon brazen pillars, fixed in brazen sockets. Within this enclosure the priests and Levites offered the sacrifices, and thither the Jewish people were admitted. These distinctions represented the difference between the visible nominal church, and the true spiritual church, which alone has access to God, and communion with him.
